With over 20 years of experience in the innovative pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, he brings a wealth of expertise spanning regulatory affairs, marketing, market access, patient advocacy, external communication, and public affairs. Driven by a strong commitment to ensuring that patients with unmet medical needs receive timely and sustainable access to innovative treatments, Dr. Uttenweiler has developed a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical value chain and what it takes to bring innovation successfully to patients. Throughout his career, he has held leadership roles in multinational and multicultural environments, contributed to industry associations, and played a key role in shaping and executing market access and public affairs strategies. His work includes successful cross-functional collaboration—including with C-level executives—and innovative partnerships across both specialty areas such as oncology and rare diseases, as well as primary care.
